Angry parents are calling to make care for children with learning disabilites a priority for the government.

A focus group of angry parents have met with Kirsty North and Hampshire MP Kit Malthouse on April 12th to air their concerns.

They are angry at the closures of Andover Breast Feeding Clinic, Harrow Way Nursery and Andover and District Mencap After School club.

They have set up a Facebook group page and a Twitter page

On Twitter, the group is being followed by Colin Brazier from Sky News and Scope, the disability equality charity.

They also have 308 facebook followers in its first 5 days and 1,120 signatures on their online petition at

“This is a call for those who are caring for a disabled child or adult and are affected by the cuts to short break services and clubs , education cuts, respite provision and home closures , day services, cuts to therapists, cuts to transport, lack of access to the wider community and a social life for your dependent and feeling that the cuts have gone too far."
