Andover and District Mencap is immensely thankful for the support we receive from the local community.
By partnering with Andover and District Mencap you are making a huge difference to the lives of people living with a learning disability and complex health needs.
Most children, young people and adults can easily access essential leisure activities, learn life skills and engage with the local community. People with a learning disability face a very different world, where there is often nowhere for them to go. Andover and District Mencap seeks to bridge this gap, by providing an exciting, stimulating and holistic range of services, all in an environment in which children, young people and adults can challenge their difficulties, make friends, learn life skills and most importantly have fun! These experiences form the irreplaceable framework which we all use to develop the huge range of skills required to reach our full potential
We are passionate about delivering high-quality support services for anybody with a learning disability, regardless of the profoundness of their challenges. Through the purpose built Wellington Centre and our satellite schemes, we ensure that people with a learning disability have somewhere to go, to enjoy themselves and make friends, whilst offering their families a much-needed break.
The majority of our income and expenditure comprises restricted funding of local authority service contracts. We rely on the kindness and generosity of individuals, community groups, businesses and charitable trusts to enable us to continue running these vital services. Together, we can make a difference.
