We organise many clubs and activities across all age groups so that everyone can get a chance to participate, meet new friends and improve their skills.
We love sport. That’s why our sports group covers all manner of disciplines, from football to basketball, cricket to netball. You name it, we play it. What better way to keep fit than with all your friends, with excellent volunteers on hand to guide and teach you new skills. We even have access to a climbing wall!
Our local Gateway club has been promoting independence within the community since 1964. Like Club 7, Gateway offers our clients an excellent opportunity to interact with others, taking part in a wide range of activities and regular outings put on by amazing volunteers. The group regularly meets at a local social club where you can enjoy a drink and a chat over a game of darts or pool, and special nights including karaoke.
The Awesome IT Crowd offers our clients the chance to learn many new skills, from basic IT tasks like navigating your way around a computer all the way through to creating presentations.
With activities tailored to suit the individual, ensuring that our members get the most from each class, this really is a fantastic way to learn.
Everyone loves to dance. You can even get fit through doing it! In our fun, vibrant and popular Zumba session, in partnership with Zumba fitness, you will be learning dance routines, interacting with others and improving your fitness through a qualified instructor who tailors each session to meet the needs of those attending.
Club 7 is a great way for our clients to interact and meet new people here at The Wellington Centre. Our team of dedicated staff ensure that a wide range of activities are on offer, from movie nights to games evenings, there’s even a monthly trip to the pub!
By far our most popular club, so popular in fact that we now run two groups. This friendly and vibrant group helps our clients to explore different aspects of art. The team will support and encourage you to develop your art skills whilst making friends along the way.
Inspired by the Blue Apple Theatre group, our Brilliant Drama Group help to develop new or old skills through many exciting and fun activities, they even put on their own productions. We also like to organise trips to go out and see live shows, to see if we can pick up any tips.
